Initially previewed last week, the colette x Karhu Fusion 2.0 is back in the news again with an official release date and an explanation behind the inspiration that went into their partnership. The Finnish sports brand has teamed up with the iconic Parisian retailer to celebrate Finland’s 100th birthday by using braided Pullapitko bread and a croissant to serve as a symbol of the two nation’s companionship.
Adorned in full grain leather, this Fusion 2.0 utilizes a dual meaning color scheme that represents both the Finnish flag, as well as colette’s customary aesthetic. Both the shoe itself and its special packaging were manufactured in Italy and feature graphic detailing that furthers the breaking bread concept by housing imagery of the aforementioned Pullaptiko and croissant. The collaborative effort come with three sets of outdoor laces that allow for the wearer to customize his or her own look. Mark your calendars for December 9th, when the colette x Karhu Fusion 2.0 is scheduled to arrive at select retailers.
