Update: The Nike Air Force 1 Low in Black/White is available now for $100 at Finish Line.
Nike is revitalizing the classic FORCE logo on three Air Force 1 Low models dressed up in three classic colorways. Adorned in tumbled leather, Swoosh fans have their choice of red, black, and navy with white detailing for added contrast. The logo on the heel tab of the sneakers represents the key “pivot points” that were manufactured on the outsole of the Air Force silhouette. AF1 designer, Bruce Kilgore, flipped the script on the usual outsole of sneakers by taking notice of basketball player’s pivot movements in the post. This led to the circular outsole pattern on forces that was designed specifically with hoopers in mind.
This drop furthers Nike’s nostalgic resurgence of FORCE as the return of Charles Barkley’s Air Force Max may hint at a comeback of other early 1990s models. What other Force basketball shoes would you like to see the Swoosh bring back? For now, no official information has surfaced regarding when these offerings will release, but stay tuned to Sneaker News as updated become available.
