adidas NMD R1 “Blizzard” Releases In February

Yesterday, winter storm Grayson (or the Bomb Cyclone) hit the East Coast hard, leaving hundreds of flights canceled with some areas accumulating upwards of 20 inches of snow. Appropriately, adidas is readying itself to roll out this unofficial “Blizzard” colorway of the NMD R1 that sees the silhouette dressed up in an icy white and grey color scheme. It’s functionally forged primeknit uppers fuses white and grey together, atop a stark white BOOST midsole with a black outsole that will help keep the sneaker relatively clean in harsher weather. Sadly, those still feeling the effects of Grayson won’t be able to grab these “Blizzard” NMDs until next month. No official release date has been made available, but stay tuned to Sneaker News for updates and expect a release sometime in February.
