John Elliott x Nike Air Force 1 Low Releasing In Fall 2018

John Elliott x Nike Air Force 1 Low Releasing In Fall 2018

Following a successful partnership with the Swoosh on the Nike Vandal High, fashion designer John Elliott is back with Nike again on the Air Force 1 Low. Following a similar aesthetic, Elliott keeps things very simple with this design, so much so, that at first glance, it might just look like the OG white colorway. Upon closer inspection, it is clear that the shoe’s construction has been altered. At the end of 2017, Elliott was tasked with creating this design to further the celebration of the iconic sneaker’s 35th anniversary.

Acknowledging that it was difficult to make a unique design while having to keep the sneaker all white, Elliott opted to add dimension and layers to the silhouette in order to add depth and shadows. One of the more unique elements, was the decision to die-cut the midfoot Swoosh and place pebbled leather in its place to create the appearance of going inward. Check out the rest of Elliott’s design process from an Instsgram post he shared back in November below and expect a release in the Fall of 2018.
