Ben Felderstein Nike’s NBA “City Edition” collection drops tomorrow, with four versions of the Swoosh’s premier basketball silhouettes paying tribute to each team’s respective communities. To follow up that drop, Nike is adding City Edition design options to the Air Force 1 that equally embody the heritage of the respective cities they are paying tribute to. For example, the iteration for the Houston Rockets comes with an extra tongue overlay that honors the city’s rich Asian heritage, while the pair for the Bulls contains elements from Chicago’s flag.
As of now, this option is currently available overseas, so these city-specific Forces should become available to stateside Nike consumers soon. Grab a peak at some of the offerings below and tell us which one is your favorite.
