Sneaker News New is ready to meet old as the Nike Vapormax 97, a hybrid of the Air Max 97 with the newly engineered Vapormax outsole, is scheduled to release on March 9th in the black/neon colorway. The simple sole-swapped hybrid will continue to be a trend within Nike Sportswear’s Air Max department as we’ve already seen the popular Air Max 95 in a similar Vapormax form. Much of the hype around Sean Wotherspoon’s Air Max 97/1 design from last year’s Vote Forward campaign has brought some energy around these remixed Max icons, so what other mash-ups would you like to see?
