Russell Westbrook Honors Late Friend Khelcey Barrs With His Jordan Signature Shoe

In 2004, Russell Westbrook’s best friend Khelcey Barrs collapsed and died after a game of pick-up basketball. Throughout his career, Russell honored his late friend by writing Khelcey’s initials on his shoes, but yesterday the reigning MVP and Jordan Brand released a special colorway of his Why Not Zer0.1 to officially honor KB3. The navy, red, and gold colorway of the shoe features the KB3 autographed inscribed on the tongue of the shoe to immortalize his name on Westbrook’s shoe on a permanent basis. Russell took to Instagram to explain why this shoe means so much to him, so check out the video below and cop the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 “KB3” now on Nike.com.
