Ben Felderstein Nike is paying tribute to one of the sneakers responsible for putting the Air Max line on the map with this brand new Air Max 97 colorway. Clearly derived from the OG Air Max 1 iteration, this brand new 97 ushers in a red mudguard, silver piping, and an otherwise white upper. Patent leather dresses up the aforementioned mudguard, giving this nostalgic offering a touch of flare. New takes on OG Air Max models is nothing new, as we have seen the Swoosh put out new colorways of the Air Max 1 with original color blocking with relative frequency of late. At the moment, no release information is available, but stay tuned for any and all updates regarding this honorary Air Max 97.
