Louisiana-based sneaker boutique Politics just released a teaser for an upcoming event and/or activation with Jordan Brand that may involve some sort of remembrance of Hurricane Katrina. In August of 2005, this devastating natural event led to thousands of deaths and catastrophic destruction of the Gulf. The events of this hurricane certainly hit home to Politics and shop owner Derek Curry, whose shops are situated in New Orleans. We can only presume that the famed Air Jordan 3 “Katrina” – a 1-of-1 shoe that was created to raise money for relief – is involved in this release, but the black and neon green flyer may suggest something unexpected. For now details are sparse, except for the April 28th launch date. Stay tuned for more updates and follow Sneaker Politics on Instagram for the latest.
