Virgil Abloh is bringing his sublime touch to Nike gear once again with “Football, Mon Amour”, a collection devoted to the brand’s most innovative product in the most popular global sport. With the 2018 World Cup just two weeks away, Nike and the Off-White founder have mixed sport and lifestyle once again with a bold orange touch across a series of footwear and apparel, including the Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit. Additionally, Virgil was inspired by the traditional make-up of jerseys with brand sponsors prominently featured on the kit, but added his own touches with the lion juggling dots – a nod to the key strike points on the shoe – and checkerboard pattern – a nod to Czech strips.
With the World Cup kicking off on Thursday, June 14th, expect an official release on that same day at select Nike retailers. The full lookbook is just ahead.
