Car And Sneaker Culture Collide With The Whitaker Group’s adidas Collaboration

In conjunction with the Whitaker Car Group, adidas is set to create its most luxurious take on the modernized NMD Racer silhouette yet. Inspired by the racing circuit, luxurious vehicles, and the chase for success, this collaboration highlights the strong suits of both entities. The Whitaker Car Club aims to provide a platform for a wide array of car lovers, from sports cars to Formula 1 racing. Equipped with “motion blue” details, the white Primeknit upper sits atop the Racer’s new midsole that utilizes a new traction pattern for additional durability. A checkerboard motif on this sneaker’s insole harkens back to the racing culture that helped found the Whitaker Group. The Car Club’s branding replaces the customary “Brand With the Three Stripes” text on the heel loop, while its highlight is clearly a leather heel cap that further banners its luxurious aesthetic. Peep a detailed look below and set your sights on the June 8th release on this NMD Racer.
