Ben Felderstein Nike’s next move for its lifestyle-engineered Air Max 270 heel unit is a brand new silhouette given a “Futura” monicker. The Swoosh Brand is clearly looking to connect the past with the future in this silhouette as its new-look upper takes a page right out of Nike’s mid-90’s playbook. Its upper takes clear design cues from the cult-classic Triax 96 sneaker that sported the same midfoot sun ray look as well as the same eyelet design structure. Its midfoot Swoosh features a much more rounded look than usual that looks as if it is a thinner version of the mark that is usually found on the iconic Blazer. Finally, a rubber heel plate finishes off this look in style in a matching blue hue that corresponds with the rest of this particular color scheme.
