Ben Felderstein In conjunction with Jimmy Jazz, sportswear brand Fila, is gearing up to release two exclusive collections of iconic sneakers inspired by the 90s. Utilizing the Fila Spoiler and the Fila Original Fitness Varsity, these two collections pay homage to vintage varsity letterman’s jackets with the presence of high-scale chenille and retro color blocking. Both of the low-top Original Fitness models usher in the aforementioned chenille detailing on Fila’s signature midfoot flag that wraps around to its heel, with one pair opting for yellow and the other calling upon red to interact with its otherwise white and navy colorway. Gum bottom outsoles finish both stately selections off in style, with a beloved touch that has spanned models across the entirety of the sneaker industry.
The pairs that make up the Spoiler pack come with significantly higher constructions with similarly vintage color schemes. Fans of both simple and loud footwear options will be able to get in on the Spoiler fun, as one calls upon an iconic color combination of black and red, and its counterpart displays a more eye-catching green, red, and yellow mix. Fila branding can be seen embroidered at the end of its lace unit, the midfoot strap, and the signature F-Box tongue logo. Both packs release at Jimmy Jazz locations Saturday, July 21st – with the two Spoilers costing $90 USD each and the Original Fitness models coming with an MSRP of $65 – alongside a matching set of New Era hats and tees that will become available in Mid-August.
