The Original “Blue Spark” Colorway Of Nike Air Humara Is Back

The Original “Blue Spark” Colorway Of Nike Air Humara Is Back

One of Nike’s most heralded trail running shoes in history is the Nike Air Humara, a mid/late-1990s creation by the now-retired Peter Fogg. Like many of the Swoosh brand’s cult hits, the Air Humara wasn’t exactly a top seller from the get-go and the creation process wasn’t entirely smooth. Despite that, the Air Humara defied expectations as it became a favorite for roaming city streets, although its maturation in the 21st century wasn’t exactly textbook. One on hand, it was the focus one of the most underrated collaborations in history with SF’s True sneaker boutique. On the other, it was hybridized with Air Max soles and sadly left to rot on clearance shelves.

The Air Humara’s return was, of course, kickstarted by a collaboration with Supreme. With the Air Humara back on the radar, Nike brought back some original colorways alongside impressive camo-print iterations. Thankfully, the Blue Spark/Carotene colorway from 1996 is finally coming back on August 9th; hopefully it’ll get a bit more love than it did over two decades ago.
