Up Close With Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG

Jordan Brand has inserted itself into a various number of sporting endeavors, establishing a palpable presence in football, baseball, and even golf. It’s dabbled in the high-octane world of car racing with Jordan Motorsports, while outfitting some of the toughest SOBs in the boxing ring. Today, Jordan Brand officially announces its collaboration with street BMX figure Nigel Sylvester of Queens, New York while introducing a special edition Air Jordan 1 designed by the man himself.

This sail, red, black, and silver iteration of the Air Jordan 1 features hand-drawn markings around the shoe that denote specific zones of wear and tear that occur during the process of mastering a trick. Additionally, the medial Swoosh features reflective material for higher visibility on the NYC streets. Finally, the shoes and the box feature “Jordan Biking Co., Est. 2017”, a nod to the genesis of this project. The official release is noted as September 1st, 2018.
