Disney And Vans Team Up To Celebrate 90 Years Of Mickey Mouse

Every year, globally renowned skate brand Vans ramps up its collaborative efforts to span numerous industries around the world to create collections of footwear for fans from every demographic. Just this year, we have seen Vans team up with Marvel, the Vincent Van Gogh Museum, size?, and WTAPS to name a few, with each collection masterfully utilizing the versatility of the footwear’s canvas uppers. Now, in honor of everyone’s high-pitched, fun-loving cartoon mouse, Vans and Disney are teaming up to release a footwear and apparel capsule dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse.

Designed by four iconic artists – John Van Hamersveld, Mister Cartoon, Geoff McFetridge and Taka Hayashi – the collection includes four unique interpretations of Mickey on the illustrious Sk8-Hi silhouette with a matching short sleeve t-shirt. Each of the four artists combines their patented stylings with Mickey’s jovial attitude that expresses their individualism as well as the iconic nature of one of Disney’s original characters. All four Disney x Vans Vault SK8-His will be available at selection locations on August 25th, so enjoy a first look below as well as a brief explanation regarding the inspiration behind each design.
