One of the most iconic colorways of the Air Jordan pantheon returns on one of the year’s most surprising new footwear designs. Space Jam, the 1996 film that depicted Michael Jordan and the Toon Squad take on the enhanced Monstars, has earned its stripes as one of the most heralded color palettes in shoes as the black, concord blue, and translucent outsoles has been featured on a broad range of Jordan footwear for years. It returns once more on the Air Jordan Black Cat, a silhouette that shares many design elements as the Air Jordan 13. The Black Cat was one of Tinker Hatfield’s variations of the XIII model when the shoes was first designed in the mid-late 1990s, so connecting it with another pillar of that era seems to make sense. The Jordan Black Cat “Space Jam” is available at retailers in Japan and should Nike.com soon.
