Nike Air Max 95 “Keep Rippin’, Stop Slippin’ Is Arriving In Infrared

Nike Air Max 95 “Keep Rippin’, Stop Slippin’ Is Arriving In Infrared

Nike’s “Keep Rippin Stop Slippin” Air Max 95 was met with a great deal of fanfare from Air Max lovers upon its release earlier this month. A homage shoe that was inspired by 2008’s “Keep Rippin Stop Slippin” Air Max 1 — which in turn was inspired by the classic Air Safari from 1987 — the shoe was double deja vu in footwear form, a layered laudation that any Nike history buff was bound to love. Now, after its first release last month, it’s returning in an alternate “Infrared” take, yet another colorway that has deep roots in the annals of Air Max. Retaining all the layered detailing and textures from the original release, the “Infrared” swaps out the “Safari”-style colorway of the original for elephant print and smoky black nubuck quarter panels, while bright red detailing on the lacing system, an alternate graphic on the translucent outsole, and red speckle print on the heel provides bold pops of style. Get a first look at these special 95s below, expect a release later this fall, and stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates as they’re available.
