Ben Felderstein Over the last few years, Black Friday has become one of the hottest sneaker release days of the year. On top of retailers around the globe offering noteworthy discounts and promotions, sneakerheads have received high profile drops the likes of 2011’s Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” and the trio of adidas Yeezy BOOST 350 v2s from 2016. This year, Jordan Brand is gearing up to drop a tonal “Gym Red” version of the Air Jordan 12 to help cleanse everyone’s post Thanksgiving palate. Back in January, we brought you a photoshop rendering of this selection that included a black outsole, instep, and heel tab, but it is evident from this first look here that the only reprise from a completely red make-up is the throat’s “Two 3” branding. Metallic hardware has been added to the shoe’s signature lacelets and midfoot plate for a luxe touch while the model’s customary scaled mudguard and nubuck upper complete the look.
