However, a model as classic as the 98 never stays quiet for long — and it’s now surfaced in a new ladies-only “Phantom” colorway. Calling upon an ever-so faint eggshell color for the upper’s mesh and a stark white leather for the side panel, the shoe’s accents arrive via a healthy dose of fall-ready golden tans on everything from the embroidered stripes to the tongue branding, the sockliner, and the expansive mudugard. Reflective piping swoops around the upper for a pop of low-light style, and the shoe’s interesting look is completed by a white midsole, gum Air Max unit, and black outsole. No official release date for these unique Air Maxes has been announced yet — but as a full set of official images are available for viewing, you can expect them to drop on Nike.com in the coming weeks for $160 USD.
