The Nike ACG Dog Mountain Arrives In “Triple Black” With Red Laces

The Nike ACG line has enjoyed a special retro resurgence this year — and their classic rugged goods couldn’t be available at a more ideal time, as tempestuous fall weather is beginning to arrive in earnest. A batch of classic trail running shoes have been brought out of the vault — and even more classics like the Air Terra Humara are set to drop later this season — but the most well-received re-release so far may very well be the Dog Mountain. The low-top trail shoe strikes a perfect balance between style and grit, and has released in a handful of retro-tinged colorways that feature bright and bold detailing — but now it’s surfaced in a straightforward black with hot red and dark teal accents. The all-black upper uses a rugged ballistic mesh for the base, while the overlays are dressed in a tough nubuck. For just a touch of color, the triangle tongue patch sports a bright crimson, as do the two-tone laces. The midsole joins the tonal party, and the hiking-ready outsole calls upon a combo of black and rich dark teal to complete the look. Need a rugged pair of cold-weather kicks? Look for these new Dog Mountains to release on Nike.com in the coming weeks for $110 USD.
