Earlier this week, Nike’s 2018 Doernbecher collection was officially revealed, with six patients of the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital lending their creative and colorful stylings to six of the brand’s top models. With all six set to release on December 14th via the Nike SNKRS App, a charity auction at Nike’s WHQ took place on November 10th in an effort to raise money for OHSU while simultaneously celebrating this year’s group of spirited co-creators. Over $1.3 million was raised during the auction, combining with last year’s retail sales of roughly $2.7 million in an effort help continue the incredible DB program, bringing hope to the 66,000+ patients treated at the hospital each year. With such unique sketches and designs being drawn up over the years, Nike’s designers have been tasked with ushering in unconventional methods and materials, furthering the initiative’s “Never Say No.” motto. Enjoy another look at this year’s six offerings below as well as an incredible display that highlights all 91 creations included in the Doernbecher Freestyle program over the last 15 years.
