First Look At The Nike ISPA Air Max 270 SP SOE

Nike Sportswear’s ISPA firmly established itself onto the market in late 2018 with the debut of the React Runner Mid, concreting a highly technical yet functional design aesthetic that aims to identify challenges and produce solutions in the form of protective footwear. We saw hints of that look and feel with the React Element 87 with its layered construction and attention-grabbing color schemes, but as we approach 2019, ISPA is looking to take a walk on the wilder side with some truly eccentric concepts. The Air Max 270 SP SOE boasts some familiar details you might recognize from the two React-cushioned models. It shares similar DNA to the React Runner Mid, but features a higher cut that climbs upwards at the heel and thick ribbons at the heel and tongue. The most obvious addition is the exterior membrane shell that locks the foot down while providing some elasticity, while the 270 unit, emblazoned with the ISPA logo, serves as the chief provider of cushioning.
