Nike Is Raffling A Special DJ Timbuck2 Blazer For Charity

Nike Is Raffling A Special DJ Timbuck2 Blazer For Charity

Chicago-born and bred DJ Timbuck2 is Chicago hip-hop royalty. One of the most esteemed DJs to ever come out of the Windy City, he mixed, spun, scratched, and transferred his way into hip-hop lore over two decades-plus behind the wheels of steel. Unfortunately, the brightest lights are also sometimes the first to fade, and DJ Timbuck2 passed away in 2015 after losing a battle with kidney cancer. Today his legacy lives on through his work and his Timothy Francis Jones Foundation that aids men in finding proper healthcare, so Nike is paying homage to his memory with a new Blazer High — his favorite shoe. Inspired by Timbuck2’s keen attention to detail/respect for the classics and limited to only 34 pairs, the special Nike Blazers feature a luxury black leather upper adorned with a perforated Swoosh design and the DJ’s moniker embroidered on the heel in white. Like the look and/or want to support a worthy cause? Head over to Nike SNKRS now, where you can enter a raffle as many times as you want for $10 a pop, with all proceeds going to the aforementioned Timothy Francis Jones Foundation. The raffle runs through December 23rd, and winners will be announced December 24th.
