The brand-new adidas Ultra Boost 2019 is a step in an interesting new direction for the Trefoil Brand’s flagship running line. The 5th iteration in the successful Ultra Boost series, the 2019 does away with the design ethos established on the first four silhouettes entirely, opting instead for a brand-new design that changes up everything from the knit patterns, midfoot cage, and heel clip — leaving only the thick Boost midsole intact. Even the Primeknit upper’s construction has been changed: it’s made of adidas’s new Primeknit 360, a new knit material that’s strong enough to bear the brunt of everyday wear entirely on its own, but also thin enough to provide a feel that’s even more sock-like than its predecessors. One of the new colorways that’s surfaced so far is this bright “Multi-Color” take that combines a stark white with a plentiful helping of rainbow-colored details for a sporty and sleek aesthetic. A grey heel clip and translucent cage complete with new branding then round off the look. Check out this new pair below, and keep it locked here for updates on an adidas.com drop as well.
