For the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations, Nike is focusing on the entire twelve years of observance with two special iterations of the Air Max 98 that features several symbolic details from past CNY sneaker releases. Done in classic “What The” styling, this popular retro runner features elements of previous installments such as 2009’s Air Max 1 “Year Of The Ox”, 2013’s Air Force 1 “Year of the Snake”, and much more. It’s all anchored by the traditional Bai Jia Yi quilted pattern that will be consistent across all of the Nike CNY shoe drops for January 2019. Grab a closer look at both colorways here and stay tuned for updated release details and photos.
