The Nike Air Force 1 “Chinese New Year” 2019 Is Revealed

As 2019’s Chinese New Year celebration draws closer, we are beginning to learn that the Swoosh brand’s plans for this year are as extensive as they have ever been. Not only will Nike be honoring this year’s cyclical zodiac representative by way of the pig, but they will also be harkening back to CNY sneakers past with numerous homages to the last twelve years of drops – representative of the 12-year cycle. Joining those ranks next will be a uniquely-crafted Air Force 1 that mixes a traditional Chinese black, red, and yellow color palette together with a jaggedly embroidered midfoot Swoosh, a florally adorned toebox, and a unique midfoot panel that emulates an ornate stain glass window. Rounding out this striking selection is a contrasting black heel and throat as well as a scaly quarter section for another luxurious note. With images having just surfaced, you can expect pairs to begin arriving at Nike retailers around the globe either at the end of this month or the beginning of next.
