Since first bursting onto the scene back in June of 2018, Vans’ Sk8-Hi Re-Issue silhouette has been one of the most intriguing creations to come out of the Anaheim-based brand’s camp. Revered for its on-trend deconstructed aesthetic, the mix-and-match version of the high-cut skate marvel bears a striking resemblance to industry heavy-hitting creations from Virgil Abloh and Nike. Now, the abstract take on a Vans staple has returned in an “Animal Pack” construction that ushers in patches of leopard fur, tiger stripes, and more, while also remastering the brand’s iconic checkerboard motif with the implementation of brown and black pony hair on its lateral and medial panelling.
