Michael Le Despite their quiet start since the beginning of 2019, it seems that Mizuno’s RB Line of lifestyle offerings is kicking things up a notch, infusing a bit of colorful chaos onto their deeply rooted Wave Rider 1. Imposing as ever in its arrival, the molded design of the bulky sole unit comes dabbed in a gradient as well as splotches of accompanying paint. Along the mudguard is where the underlying motif lies as its colorful strokes dress up the overall profile in a style not too unlike retro make-ups. A patent leather run bird adds shine against the textural mesh and smooth leather, fitting to it two palette varieties: a more subtle Black/Red/White and a louder Pink/Blue/White. Opting this time for a vibrant release, it seems that the Japanese label is leaving both sides of the spectrum unignored. Both pairs are set to hit the select retailers below on February 16th at a price point of around $160.
