Ben Felderstein Baseball is unquestionably the world’s most superstitious sport. Over the course of a 162 game season, players have to pull out all the stops to bust slumps, whether it be wearing your pants up, wearing them down, blowing bubbles, sunglasses upside-down on the top of a cap, and more. You name it, and baseball players have tried it. But one thing that has always stood out and will continue to stand the test of time is the “rally cap”, a unifying gesture that connects an entire team’s roster in late game situations. Now, to pay homage to the rally cap, Routine is teaming up with adidas to release a full-scale collection anchored by a a pair of Bounce Cleats and a matching trainer.
With the help of the Cubs’ slugging third basemen, Kris Bryant, the full set is meant to resemble the material on the inside of a baseball cap where players often write personal messages or stories that have helped their rise to the top. Other embellishments include an “IT AIN’T OVER TIL ITS OVER” tag that boasts a tethered look to it meant to resemble the way the tag sits on the underside of a baseball cap as well as dual branding throughout. With baseball season right around the corner, enjoy a detailed look at this adidas Baseball footwear duo below and expect their arrival on adidas.com on March 1st.
