AURALEE And New Balance Tokyo Design Studio Present A Gore-Tex RC 2

AURALEE And New Balance Tokyo Design Studio Present A Gore-Tex RC 2

The refined aesthetics of AURALEE may be unknown to some, but its stripped back design and creative minimalism have garnered quite a bit of praise from devout enthusiasts. Bleeding into their forthcoming collaboration with New Balance, the premium atelier have worked to craft a tonal masterwork in the shape of an R-C2, a direct predecessor to the Tokyo Design Studio’s debut work. Earth tones and sultry materials are informed by the Japanese label’s expert handle over fabrication and tonality, allowing each singular piece to stand on its own in shade and appearance. Overlays are left light in contrast to the adjacent GORE-TEX make-up while textural mesh towards the tongue and opaque cages create more diverse elements of construction. ADZORB sole units are par for the course, completing an edition of waterproofing and breathability. Enjoy a detailed look at the pair below and expect them to become available — alongside the various bespoke garments — at New Balance’s Japanese channels and various AURALEE stockists on March 9th.
