Jordan Brand has several compelling colorways of the versatile Air Jordan 1 Low arriving to market this summer, one of which is this “University Gold” makeup. The Air Jordan 1 has always boasted a unique connection to skateboarding — as skate was one of the first subcultures to repurpose the silhouette — so the Jumpman has called upon suede materials similar to the ones used on Nike SB ‘s footwear for a nod to the storied connection between hoops and skate. The stylish upper uses sail on the quarter and toebox, while the overlays are split between black on the mudguard, eyestays, and throat/gold on the heel and collar. Bright varsity red accents on the throat add a pop of alternate style, and a tonal ball-and-wings logo embroidered into the heel finalizes the branding. A sail midsole and yellow outsole then complete the look. Peep a full set of official images below, and look for these skate-ready AJ1 Lows to release on Nike.com later this summer for $90 USD.
