Nike’s sudden revival of Gary Payton’s Zoom GP signature shoe will not come without any keen storytelling ideas. This May 18th, the Swoosh will honor the memorable uniforms from Seattle’s late 1990s run – the one worn by the team during the 1996 NBA Finals between the Sonics and the 72-10 Bulls. 1995-1996 was the first season that the Pacific-Northwestern team rocked these threads, shedding the “Super” from the name while taking the court in a much flashier design, and it reappears today in this classic hoops shoe with suede uppers and leather fore-foot overlays. Expect a drop next month.
