Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard Overshoe Releasing In May

The inimitable collection by Tom Sachs and Nike may be releasing sooner than one might think, as its many pieces of futuristic, astronautical modification have been announced under the NikeCraft moniker. Said to be a 50/50 venture between both the artist and the Swoosh-flagged label, pieces of pure utility — by way of exploding ponchos, down shorts, and more — arrive in an aesthetic quite similar to the pairing’s divisive Mars Yard Overshoe. While first released during an extremely limited raffle in London and then an even smaller, personal showing during the creative’s Tokyo tea ceremonies, the silhouette is finally hitting shelves in its space age Dyneema shroud. Fidlock buckles, bright red pull tabs, and all further the bold aesthetics, hiding the beloved suede and luxe mesh uppers of the tan toned icon. While a huge departure from both the first and second iterations, this Sachs signed release is surely one reflective of his eccentric personality.

Grab yet another detailed look below, and as retailers have informed us, expect pairs to finally hit stockists come May 10th.
