Sneaker News It’s no coincidence that the sneaker game quieted down a bit once Virgil Abloh’s final release of The 10 occurred back in February. Not to worry, because this groundbreaking partnership is only getting started because the Louis Vuitton figurehead has worked with the Swoosh for an extensive women’s collection that hones in on trail running themes as seen in these official images of the upcoming Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 5. This off-road running shoe, which recently released in in-line colorways, features the signature Off-White flair with the exposed text, over-sized Swoosh logo, and vintage tongue construction, but there are some new elements to this model such as the wide lacing and the rubber spikes that extend from the sole.
Virgil first gave a look at the shoes during Coachella earlier in April 2019, and the response from the sneaker/fashion community. It was expectedly polarizing, but that’s the rebuttal Virgil and Nike are going for – to create something polarizing versus something simply pleasing. While a release of the Off-White x Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 5 is not known, we know that three colorways are indeed part of a larger women’s collection set for Summer/Fall, with a rumored date of May 23rd.
