The Trophy Room x Air Jordan 5 Releases This Weekend

Trophy Room is set to launch their special Air Jordan 5 collaboration this weekend, and ahead of the release founder Marcus Jordan has shared the inspiration behind the shoe’s unique design and color scheme: his father Michael Jordan’s trophy room, an important part of the house he grew up in. The shoe’s ice blue, sail, and red palette present a triumphant look, one that’s accented by subtle gold hits. Plenty of special details are present as well, with a “5” replacing the regular “23” hit on the left shoe’s lateral side alongside a Trophy Room graphic on the heel, while the right shoe’s original branding remains intact. Cork insoles and hardwood-themed outsoles provide extra premium flair, each pair has an x/7,000 graphic on the sockliner, nodding to their limited run, and they also come wrapped in a plastic sheath inspired by the estate’s famous gate. An elegant dustbag and box round off the packaging. The younger Jordan also designed a special red suede pair for Trophy Room’s friends and family, kept to a mere 223 units that won’t see a retail release.
