Anytime Spike Lee or his alter ego Mars Blackmon comes into the conversation, you already know a hybrid is in the works. Dropping this Summer/Fall is yet another mash-up of Air Jordan icons by the long-time Nike/Jordan partner, only this time around they’re infusing some contemporary design innovations. Let’s break down the Jordan Mars 270: it features the upper framework of the Air Jordan 1, mid-foot netting from the Air Jordan 4, the lace collar from the Air Jordan 5, the midsole and heel “spoiler” from the Air Jordan 6, and the wild graphics from the Air Jordan 7 on the tongue. In place of the visible Air unit from the AJ6, Jordan adds a 270 Max unit to give it a futuristic touch. This particular colorway of Infrared 23, Reflect Silver, and Black is made for the upcoming Jordan PSG collection, but other colorways – including this one inspired by the OG Fire Reds – are in the works as well. See the shoes below and stay tuned for an official announcement.
