The Nike Air Max Tailwind IV “USA” Features Plaid

Celebrating the 4th of July quite a few weeks early, Beaverton is upgrading the Air Max Tailwind IV in a maximalist tooling that honors the signature colors of Stars and Stripes while paying homage to some of the uniforms that graced past Olympic Games. Accents, which do the brunt of the work in connecting to the theme, can be found throughout in bold reds as well as contrasting whites. Sitting against a much darker, neutral backdrop of a deep navy, the scattered mini swooshes take up seat on the outers of the underlying nylon ripstop, loosely resembling that of the stars in the waving flag while surrounding gold piping adds a luxurious embellishments. Air bubbles and embroidered checks are just some of the forms the warm tone takes, though the medal of most standout detailing is surely reserved for the textural plaids that line the entire inners of the model. Grab a detailed look at the pair below and find them rolling out to select retailers as well as Nike.com on September 10th.
