It’s business as usual for Virgil Abloh this spring/summer. The globe-trotting polymath has a “career retrospective” at MCA Chicago, is playing DJ sets all over the world, is working on both Off-White and Louis Vuitton collections, and on top of all that, he’s releasing a brand-new Nike collaboration: the Off-White x Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 5. Unlike the majority of the silhouettes in Abloh’s “The Ten” collection, the Terra Kiger 5 is somewhat unheralded, serving as a rough-and-rugged trail runner that can take anything a wearer can throw at it, but this just serves to make the designer’s collaborative iteration all that much more compelling.

Part of the track-and-field inspired “Athlete In Progress” capsule, this Terra Kiger takes on a bold neon green as its base tone and a synthetic ripstop fabric as its main material. This first level is then overlaid by a shaggy greenish-brown suede, and is equipped with a duo of Swooshes: printed black on the lateral side, embroidered silver on the medial side. Recognizable Helvetica text also graces the medial midfoot, the abstract lacing system calls upon blue laces for extra contrast, and an exposed foam tongue/green zip tie add signature style. Down below, a black midsole houses responsive Zoom Air, and a sky blue/green outsole features elongated rubber spikes that are inspired by track footwear. One of the boldest collaborations between the two to date, these Off-White Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 5s will release on June 24th for $170 USD, so be sure to check back frequentlym as our retailer list below will constantly be updated while more shops announce their procedures.
