Michael Le It’s no question that Chitose Abe of sacai has taken the sneaker world by storm, with her Blazer/Dunk hybrid and LDWaffle serving as her beefed up foot soldiers of choice. Departing quite a bit from the color blocked schemes yet to release, the latter silhouette is returning in a selection of new materials dressed up in all black. Much smarter than its previous compatriots, the newest tooling opts for a swatch of nylon synthetics and shimmering leathers. The suede that once took front seat is now an accenting note across the underlying swoosh, heel overlays, and partially hidden toe cap. Structurally more sound, the warped nature of many of its accents are no longer found here, bolstered down to a more enduring fabrication in a package that is largely reserved despite the quite avant-garde presentation.
