Michael Le After releasing what has been an onslaught of modernized and borderline futuristic make-ups, adidas is taking a step back as its goes to the basics, painting the retro-akin uppers of the ZX4000 in hues of off white and vibrant Hot Lime. The base kit is a contemporary mix of singular touches, only intricate in its use of varying textures; nubuck comprises the largest percentage of the swatch with black open knit mesh contrasting subtly along the heel wrap. Pinstriped patterning also makes its way across the small tan synthetics across the top line with similarly woven fabrications finding place along the toe box, tongue, and profile unders. Neon hues, though sparing, are scattered throughout the eye stay, lace dubrae, tongue, and smaller sole caps.
