Vans Turns Its Icons Into Workwear Staples For A Mt. Vernon Collection

Vans Turns Its Icons Into Workwear Staples For A Mt. Vernon Collection

Collections are surely Vans’ bread and butter with inspirations running amok in their JoJo references or artistic homages to the iconic Frida Kahlo; though muted by comparison, the latest Vault series dubbed “Mt. Vernon” is a three-part mash-up of heavy workwear influence. Taking on the same central motifs, each arrives outfitted in hickory striped denim: a staple amongst the tired workers of the railroad constructions. Though fittingly without the dirt and grime — which will likely mirror the past after countless wear — the uppers don the light blue twill in variations unique to their silhouette. The Sk8-Hi is largely the most simplistic in its arrangement with the main swatch finding place along the profile’s base. Overlays, in their midnight navy suede, are distinct in contrast along with the leather Jazz Stripe while laces and midsoles stay a clean white shade. Both the Era and Slip-On feature those same colorless accents, however, the upper’s feature two sets of the timeless material in washes faded or untouched. Toes don the heavy indigos across with the rear paneling left an almost faded grey shade. Grab a detailed look at the whole pack right below and expect to find them hitting select retailers come July 31st.
