Nike has been experimenting with classic tie-dye patterns this summer, and the latest pair to take on the trippy trappings is the Air Max 720. Following in the footsteps of two dashingly dyed Air Force 1s, these Maxes offer a multi-hued print across their upper that blends red, blue, yellow, and orange shades for a style that’s inherently abstract and extremely colorful. This works exceptionally well on the 720 thanks to its textured tooling, and black accents on the abstract midfoot/heel overlays, trim, toe cap, heel tab, and throat hold provide a semblance of order to the whimsical shades. There’s also a plentiful dose of purple here, as it appears on both the midsole/heel Swooshes and the tongue’s text branding. Down below, a translucent 720 cushioning unit completes the retro futuristic look. You can grab these maximalist Maxes from Nike.com now for $180 USD, so check out a full set of images below and head to the Swoosh Brand’s home site to secure your pair.
