Michael Le Arriving once again after a well-deserved vacation, the Nike Air Max 98 takes on a design of seemingly incongruous elements, breaking up neutrals with striking bronze and topping off its diverse palette with small, neon-esque notes of an aqua blue. As it borrows the adventurousness of its more recent runs and some of the most iconic materials out of the entire line-up in general, the pair lands somewhere at a middling point where it knows not what it exactly wants to be. This, however, potently lends much to its allure; the mudguards are darkened heavily as if slightly iridescent in its gloss finish while adjacent panelling is dialed up to max in shining metallics. Base layers take on mesh patterning akin to a chainlink fence, dressing down in gray shade to further allow its many statement points to speak at full volume.
