Michael Le A perfect encapsulation of adidas’ ethos thus far, the LXCON OG takes its retro likeness and thwarts any semblance of the futuristic — effectively doing everything its younger, remodeled variation has not. Bulky, imposing silhouettes, however, are largely untouched with its aesthetic pushing the feel of its originating era. Intricate layering lends much to the upper’s overall presentation as it deviates in both texture and color in a form chaotic to say the least. Base layers add perforated materials in striking aqua blue, accenting its edge through an almost neon orange. Overlaid three stripes as well as heel wraps remain neutral in their choice of black swathe, leaving the various hits of light grey to do the same though on the much lighter end of the spectrum.
