Nike’s Experimental Drop Type Gets A Mid-Cut Trim

Nike’s Experimental Drop Type Gets A Mid-Cut Trim

Pulled right from the cutting room floor, Nike’s prototyping series has landed them on wild modifications to both the Air Force 1 and Huarache, though none take the cake quite like its spearheading poster boy: the Drop Type. Now dressed up once again in muted tones, the pair surprises thanks to its choice of mid-top cut, one that leaves much of the original aesthetic on display while coupling slight wrestling references by way of its tightened and supported ankle collar. Much of the rest of the construction is simplistic as it was originally: stitching matches tonally against its white backdrop, midsoles double over with extra components, and overlays stay the most standout out with its choice of tone being yellow currently. Debossed swooshes and penciled variations rest subtly throughout while the series denotative n.354 hides just below the black-dyed eye stays. Grab a detailed look at the pair right here and find it rolling out to select retailers as well as Nike.com right now.
