Using material from recycled, pre-owned jeans, Converse’s Renew Denim collection is both stylish and sustainable, and now it’s back again with a brand new “Tri-Panel” capsule. Using the Converse Chuck 70 High and Low as its canvases, the “Tri-Panel” calls upon upcycled material from three recognizable denim washes: light blue, dark blue, and black, all of which are sourced by UK group Beyond Retro. Individual panels are cut from each wash, then pieced together to create the Chuck’s upper: dark wash hits the medial side, light wash is chosen for the tongue/throat, and black appears on the lateral panel. This makes for a unique look on each shoe, while the lining and laces are made from recycled polyester to ensure even the accents are earth-friendly. A classic rubber midsole and outsole finalize the look. They’ll release on Converse.com come September 27th in China before hitting the US on October 3rd, so get a detailed look directly below while you wait.
