The OG Nike Tailwind Appears In Syracuse Colors

The OG Nike Tailwind Appears In Syracuse Colors

The initial launch of the Tailwind OG in 1978 was a pivotal notch in Nike’s timeline as the silhouette designed by Frank Rudy was the first ever sneaker to feature an Air unit cushioning system. And now over 40 years removed from its original release, this model’s timeless look still captures the attention of sneaker lovers both old and new alike, so its making a return this season in a brand new two-toned colorway. This iteration is constructed with a nylon orange base and is boldly contrasted with dark navy Swoosh logos and overlays – a palette that closely resembles the Orangemen of Syracuse University. Customary foam exposed tongues and black waffle outsoles are also utilized to finish off its classic aesthetic. If you’re looking to get your hands on a pair, you can expect these to drop on Nike.com and at select retailers in the coming weeks for $100 USD.
