Surprisingly, Nike’s many performance classics have taken a liking to more lifestyle motifs, with noteworthy collaborator Cactus Plant Flea Market throwing silhouettes through a whirlwind of DIY execution and others like the COMME des Garcons institution bringing in their own sense of high fashion minimalism. A sort of loose extension of that, the Nike Vapormax Flyknit 3.0 grows in tones quiet yet touch-ups somewhat more bold. Along its woven base of black thread — bearing little to no contrast except for at its bright pull tabs — are overlaid elements of hardshell snakeskin.
