After first being spotted back in August, the adidas Yeezy 500 is finally releasing in its tall, “Slate”-colored silhouette. At first glance, the Yeezy 500 High looks like a basketball-boot-hybrid equally ready for the hardwood as it is the colder months of the year and it’s slated (no pun intended) to be one of the brand’s most versatile releases of 2019. The understated uppers on this bulky model are split between suede (toe, lace guards), leather (overlays near tongue, collar), and nylon (tongue, side/heel panels), and sip atop the 500’s signature chunky, adiPRENE midsole – left in a clean, off-white color on this iteration.
